Missions
The Mumbai Episcopal Area of the Methodist Church in India has responded to this divine call and engaged in this God-given mandate to reach out to the people. The sole intention of the mission is to make known to humankind, their dignity and respect in the kingdom of God. The lost image of God which was restored through our dear Lord Jesus Christ needs to be communicated to the people of all nations. For this purpose, the Regional Mission Board, which was formed earlier, is trying to serve, based on the great commission given by our dear Lord.
Many of our churches are directly involved in mission activities, through different mission agencies. At present Mumbai Regional Conference has 12 missionaries serving in various mission fields. Seminars were conducted for the new believers, exhorting them to grow in the Lord. A mission director has been appointed to look after this ministry. This year, we plan to have at least 5 new mission stations and also plan to appoint missionaries to these areas.
