ORGANIZATIONS
The Church has been a pioneer and pillar of support for various activities of the Methodist Church in India of the Mumbai Regional Conference. The Church functions and administers through a nominated/elected Body known as the Pastorate Committee and enjoins other organizations – such as Methodist Men (MM), Women Society for Christian Service (WSCS), Methodist Youth Fellowship (MYF) and the Sunday School (SS) for spiritually preparing and nurturing the children. The Pastorate Committee is the administrative body and is the executive committee of the Pastorate Conference which is under the general and overall supervision of the Regional Conference.
Besides the Pastorate Committee and other organizations as stated above the Church has several sub-committees and special committees that render their services under various ministry programs and act in aid to the Pastor and the Pastorate Committee of the Church.
The Taylor Memorial Methodist Church has been helmed by some outstanding and illustrious Presbyters/Pastors and their names have been incorporated in the roll of honor of leading and steering Taylor Church. Some of the Presbyters/Pastors have been elevated as Bishops of the Methodist Church in India. Taylor Church officially also happens to be the Episcopal seat of the Episcopal & Resident Bishop of the Mumbai Regional Conference. The Taylor Church is under the Mumbai Regional Conference of the Methodist Church in India.
To enhance spiritual growth, to encourage bringing out one’s latent gifts / talents and to continuously improve in adding value to family and church through edifying fellowship in our Almighty Lord.
According to The Methodist Discipline Guidelines, the vital role of Methodist men is:
Scriptural guideline for Fellowship
“Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honour giving preference to one another, not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord” ~ Romans 12:10-11
“Whatever you do work it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men” ~ Colossians 3:23
Regular meetings on Sundays
We plan to gather after Sunday worship in church premises on First Sundays.
Methodist Men Sunday / Father’s Day
Every year, Methodist Men’s Sunday is observed in July/August. Father’s Day Service is also facilitated by the Methodist Men. These special Sunday Services gives an opportunity to each member of the fellowship to actively take part in conducting the Service.
Retreat/ Family Picnic
Retreats / Picnics to be organized on holidays at resorts where nature is at its best. Praise and worship, combined with inspiring spiritual message in a calm and serene environment strengthens the spiritual vigour and vibrancy participants leading to revival. Purpose is to get to know each other and praying for each other by knowing their needs.
Missionary field visits
We plan to organize visits to missionary fields. The objectives of these missionary field visits are twofold. One is to have a personal interaction with the missionaries and the new believers who were led into the fold of Christ, which encourages and appreciates both the missionaries and the new believers. The second objective is to spiritually edify and enhance us by having a first-hand feel of vibrant believers with infectious zeal and zest. These field visits inadvertently led to raising funds to support the newly formed churches in the field such as renovation of church building.
Financial support to missionaries
we plan to contribute regularly towards the noble cause of supporting missionaries. More importantly we uphold them with our prayers

“These women were helping to support them out of their own means." ~ Luke: 8:3b
Just as the women in the days of Jesus supported his ministry, so also do the women at Taylor’s support Christ’s ministry out of their own means - through cash, kind and action. Their services are based on Christ’s principles of integrity, faithfulness and compassion. Thus, the WSCS reaches out to the society through visiting special homes like the old age home, remand home, home for the distressed etc. along with a special contribution of utility gifts and food; there is a never-failing sharing of the gospel too.
Within the confines of the church, the WSCS is again found enthusiastically ministering through seminars and retreats. It also encourages the congregation in reading the word of god through conducting quiz competitions. The WSCS involves itself in raising funds for the ministry through sale of items. Much of the thanksgiving festival is organized by the WSCS too.
Pleasing god is their focus and the women prayerfully strive towards this goal in all their endeavours.
